PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
PTC heaters utilize Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) semiconductors as the heating element. Unlike traditional heating elements, they are SELF-LIMITING. That is, they reach a set maximum sheath temperature (which is below the ignition point of most combustible materials), meaning they are especially safe for process applications. Heater cannot ignite plastic even if operated in air.

Safety is built in, not added on.
Heater self limits its maximum operating temperature to 482°F (250°C).
This is lower than the ignition point of most plastics.
Watt densities up to 26 watts/square inch (4 w/cm²).
Vapor resistant, welded terminal enclosure with 3 ft (.9m) flexible PVC liquid tight conduit.
Metal-grounded, non-floating construction (earth ground).

Three voltages ranges available: 120 volt, 200-240 volt, and 380-480 volt.
